Materials Used:
-
Lollipops
-
Black crepe paper
-
Black Pipe cleaners (for the legs)
-
Red acrylic paint
-
Scissors
-
Glue or tape (optional)
Instructions:
How to Prepare the Spider’s Head:
Start by cutting squares of black crepe paper large enough to cover the head of the lollipop.
Afterward, wrap the black crepe paper around the lollipop’s head and secure it with tape or glue. This will give the lollipop the appearance of a spider’s head.
Create the Legs:
After that, cut black pipe cleaners into three long, equal pieces (you will need six legs for each spider).
Fold each pipe cleaner around the lollipop stick in half to create a leg shape. Each spider will need six legs.
Attach the Legs:
Then, fasten the folded ends of the pipe cleaners onto the sides of the lollipop, ensuring they are evenly spaced around the spider head. Use tape if needed to secure them in position.
Arrange the legs to give a realistic spider look. Make sure they are well-attached so they don’t fall off easily.
Add the Eyes:
To make the eyes, use red acrylic paint to create small dots on the black crepe paper to represent the spider’s eyes. You can make these dots directly on the crepe paper or on a piece you glue onto the lollipop.
Final Touches:
At last, allow any glue or paint to dry completely before handling the spiders. Once dry, you can use these Minecraft cave spider lollipops as decorations or party favors.
Our cute, spooky spiders will be a fun addition to any Minecraft-themed event or decoration setup!
