Are you looking to level up your next kids’ party with a fun and engaging Minecraft theme? You’re in the right place!

Minecraft is a hit among kids, and a Minecraft-themed party wouldn’t be the same without its iconic creatures. One of the most exciting additions you can make is a DIY Minecraft spider – a character that adds a touch of adventure to the game and now to your decorations!

This DIY project immerses kids in their favorite game and gives them something memorable to interact with during the party. These spiders are easy to make, and with a few crafting materials, you can create eye-catching party décor that doubles as a hands-on activity.

Let’s go DIYing this Minecraft Spider:

Materials Used:

  • Large cartoon box

  • Small cartoon box

  • Black crepe paper

  • Red acrylic paint

  • Scissors

  • Scotch tape

  • Glue

  • Additional cartoon box for legs

  • Black A4 sheet

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Boxes:

Large Box: This will be the spider’s main body. Cover the entire large box in black crepe paper. This will give the spider its dark, spider-like appearance.

Small Box: This will serve as the spider’s head. Cut a hole in the large box to insert the small box. Ensure the hole is just big enough to fit the small box snugly.

2. Assemble the Body and Head:

Insert the small box into the hole in the large box, positioning it to form the spider’s head and body. Secure the small box from the inside of the large box.

3. Create the Legs:

From an additional cartoon box, cut out six legs for the spider. Each leg should be long enough to give the spider a realistic appearance.

Dress each leg in black crepe paper, covering them completely.

4. Attach the Legs:

You can use glue to attach the legs to the sides of the large box (spider body). In my case, I just folded the end of the cartoon leg a bit to create the angle, and I put it under the boxes.

Space the legs evenly around the body to give it a balanced look.

5. Add the Eyes:

Paint red pixels on a separate black A4 paper to create the spider’s eyes. Cut the eyes and glue them onto the small box (spider head).

6. Final Touches:

Once all the elements are attached, you can place the spider in your garden or wherever you desire.

This Minecraft spider decoration will add a fun, spooky touch to your outdoor space!

Cheers,

Svetlana
