Undoubtedly, many of you have wondered what Granola is? I had discovered it many years ago when I first visited Brazil. That is the most beautiful addition to the Açai 🥣 bowl and, for me, the most delicious thing in the world. Granola is a mixture of oatmeal, oil, seeds, dried fruits, flavored with syrup based on honey and toasted in the oven. The difference between Granola and Muesli is that Granola is crispy and roasted. Granola is perfect for breakfast, usually added to yogurt, but you can also enjoy Granola at any time of the day, eating it just like that.
This cereal recipe is straightforward to perform and is very susceptible to improvisations and experiments; you can easily tailor it to your taste.
The execution of the recipe is in three stages:
-
The first stage is preparing the products: Oatmeal inflated rice or inflated millet.
-
The second stage is the cutting of dried fruits and nuts into small pieces. Again: Nuts and dried fruits in the recipe are just an idea. You can use dried fruits and nuts to your taste.
-
And the third stage is choosing the honey or syrup you like the most and the oil. For fat, you can use sunflower oil or coconut oil.
Tip: When buying the oatmeal, make sure that the nuts are whole and there is not a lot of crushed white powder in the package (if you can see).
!!! The quantity and variety of products may vary depending on your taste!!!
Here’s my recipe for the most delicious Granola:
Ingredients:
400g Oatmeal (I use whole grain oatmeal)
100g inflated millet
40g Walnuts
40g Almonds
40g hazelnuts
30g peanuts 🥜Â without salt
20g flaxseed
30g sunflower seeds 🌻
20g Coconut flour or grated coconut
30g Raisins
20g Dates
20 g Dried bananas 🍌
A pinch of salt
One teaspoon of cinnamon
Four tablespoons sunflower oil or coconut oil
 1 Vanilla
100g maple syrup/ or 🍯Â agave syrup
Four tablespoons of water
40g. Of the brownest sugar
Directions:
-
Mix the oatmeal, inflated millet, cinnamon, vanilla, and a pinch of salt in a deep pan.
-
Mix all well.
-
Pour the liquid ingredients into a metal container and heat them until the sugar dissolves.
-
Then add the liquid to the dry ingredients. Stir everything well until the dry ingredients become wet.
-
Spread the resulting mixture in a baking tray pre-covered with baking paper.
-
Bake for about 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees, stirring occasionally. Granola is ready when it acquires a golden color.
-
Remove Granola from the oven and make it extraordinary. Once cool – add the finely chopped dried fruits and nuts.
-
Mix all well, and your incredibly delicious Granola is ready.
-
!!! You can bake the nuts with oatmeal; I prefer them raw in my Granola!!!
Buon Appetito! 😊
