I’ve seen a lot of interest in Giovanna’s meatballs, so this new meatball recipe is Back by popular demands recipe; this time, I have Giovanna’s fried sweet meatballs. Yes, that’s right, sweet meatballs! Fried Sweet meatballs prepared with minced pork meat, eggs, spices, sugar, and dry biscuits. They are delicious and unique in their taste; our guys, big and small, are going crazy about those fried sweet meatballs. The recipe is a century-old family recipe that has trespassed from mother to daughter through the generation. This recipe is one of a kind, never seen before, and here is Giovanna’s fried sweet meatballs recipe:
500g minced pork
Grated lemon zest
The Juice of an Orange
Four tablespoons of sugar
125g dried biscuits (here in Italy, we are using Saiwa gold)
50g grated Parmesan cheese
20g grated pecorino cheese
First thing first, grind the biscuits.
Then, in a big bowl, put the minced meat, sugar, ground biscuits, and the rest of the ingredients.
Mix everything well by using your hands.
Then, take a small portion of the meat dough, and form the meatballs by rolling them between the palms of your hands.
Once the meatballs are ready, add the frying oil to a high-edged pan.
Fry the sweet meatballs in the boiling oil, turning them on all sides until golden.
Remove the already golden meatballs from the oil, drain them on absorbent paper, and serve your fried sweet meatballs still warm.
I would love to hear from you about this recipe
Grazie and Buon Appetito 😊
