Materials Needed
-
Blue glitter foam sheet
-
Metallic wrapping paper or shiny plastic sheet
-
Scissors
-
Hot glue gun
-
Foam, cardboard, or plastic base
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Make the Base
To make a round centerpiece, start by cutting the blue glitter foam sheet into a long rectangular strip.
At each end of the strip, make a small cut and slot (as shown in the photo) so the ends can interlock instead of being glued. This creates a smooth, sturdy circular shape for your base.

Once the shape is ready, cover the outside with metallic wrapping paper to give it a shiny finish. Smooth out any wrinkles and glue the wrapping paper neatly around the foam.
Tip: Using interlocking ends means your centerpiece can be taken apart, stored, and reused for future parties — a smart and eco-friendly idea!
Step 2: Attach the Fringe

Glue the metallic wrapping paper around the top edge of your round base, as shown in the photo.
Step 3: Prepare the Fringe

Cut a long strip of metallic wrapping paper or shiny plastic sheet.
Make evenly spaced slits along one edge to create a fringe, leaving about 2 cm uncut at the top so you can glue it easily later.

Step 4: Add More Layers (Optional)
If you want more volume, add a second or third layer of fringe.
Glue each new layer slightly above the previous one for a fuller, tiered effect that catches the light beautifully. Let the fringe hang freely to give your centerpiece a fun, textured look.
Step 5: Final Decoration
Finish your centerpiece with your favorite decorations — balloons, flowers, ribbons, or LED lights.
Choose colors that match your party theme to make it look coordinated and festive.

Style Tips
Mix metallic colors for extra shine! Try silver and gold for a glamorous party, blue and white for a winter theme, or bright colors for birthdays.
This DIY centerpiece is easy, budget-friendly, and reusable — a great way to make your table look amazing without spending much.
Happy crafting!
